CUSTONACI – The new tourist portal that will be officially presented on Thursday, 15 May, at 6 p.m. in the atrium of the Municipal Palace in Via Scurati is called ‘borgocustonaci ‘. The initiative, promoted by the municipal administration, marks a new step in the tourist enhancement of the territory, with the aim of strengthening Custonaci ‘s identity as a cultural and sustainable destination in the Sicilian panorama.

The project is not limited to the digital dimension. Alongside the website, conceived as a modern and multilingual platform to orient and inform visitors, information panels with QR codes have been set up at key points in the village, and a Carta dei Servizi, a paper tool designed to facilitate tourist orientation and enhance the local offer.

Illustrating the details of the initiative will be mayor Fabrizio Fonte,Tourism Councillor Nicola Santoro, president of the Distretto Turistico Sicilia Occidentale Rosalia D’Alì, and Giuseppe Sansica, general manager of Seonweb, the company that developed the portal.

“The initiative represents a strategic investment choice for the future of tourism in our town,” said Mayor Fonte, ”and is part of a broader path of promotion that has already begun with other initiatives, starting with the recent third participation in the Borghi dei Tesori Fest. We aim to make Custonaci an increasingly recognisable, welcoming and accessible destination’.

The project is based on an integrated and inclusive logic, capable of networking local places, services and operators. The online portal will contain thematic itineraries, information sheets on the main points of interest, an updated calendar of events and useful information on staying, eating and getting around the city. The panels, on the other hand, will provide quick and essential information even for those unfamiliar with digital tools, while the Service Charter will offer a complete overview of the resources available to tourists.

“Thanks to the symbiosis between digital tools and materials, the visitor experience will be more articulated, customised, and engaging,” added the first citizen. “The involvement of the local entrepreneurial fabric will be fundamental, so that the reception will be qualified and able to intercept new tourist flows.

With this intervention, Custonaci is aligning itself with those Italian realities that have been able to integrate innovation and tradition to enhance their cultural heritage and landscape. The ‘borgocustonaci’ project thus represents a new intangible infrastructure, capable of narrating the territory and accompanying those who visit it along a path of history, nature, culture and identity.
